Frequently Asked Questions

If I am homeschooling my kids and they use Linney's Latin Class, how much high school credit would it count for?

I consulted with an experienced Latin teacher, and he outlined for me the usual content of Latin I and Latin II classes in high schools. Based on what he told me, I would say that Lesson 33 is as close as I can get to telling you the boundary between I and II. The things that are taught before that point in the book generally fall into what he described as Latin I material. The things in the book after that point generally fall into what he described as Latin II material. Therefore, if you master all the material up to lesson 33, you could legitimately claim to have completed Latin I. The second half of the book goes through some very advanced stuff, and in my mind would definitely cover Latin II at the high school level.
